Foto Folio

Welcome to my photograph portfolio! I am a novice artist; this is my virtual studio/folio. My true vocation as an artist, I feel, was to be a painter of the environment, Nature, the planet and the like. The problem: I can’t paint for beans. I can get away with sketching, but that is being “nice.” Fortunately, I’m able to capture what it is I want to paint with a digital camera. Actually, this is my favorite hobby. I truly enjoy taking pictures–always. To me, these are my paintings, created through digital color frequencies. Some of these photos are recent and some are from times past. With some photos, I like to play with the color and the brightness to convey a sense of times past. With others, I try to focus and sharpen, creating a sense of “now.” The photos on this page are just some of my favorites; I do plan to add more.  Hope you enjoy the following images–frozen moments of my sensing life.

Shew…these are gorgeous!! – I dunno why but I partial to ‘Beacon by Voiceless’ – something so mystical and surreal about it.

    • Thank you. 😀 I appreciate the kind words! I take these photos with a very inexpensive camera as is evident. Started out photography as a hobby/therapy for stress and now I can’t stop. On my wish list: A professional camera. The beacon is found nearby at Key Biscayne’s Bill Braggs Park. At certain times of the year, like in the winter time when I took that photo, it is a magical place–like you say, mystical and surreal. Thanks again. XXOO 🙂

As you might have realised and I have realised going through the comments that a lot of people that follow you follow me and viceversa. I love reading from poetry(which I have a tendency to tweet it, I guess I like to spread the beauty of words) to photography, I see we have a friend in common…Don Charisma, to hardcore literature up to nutty things. I always take something away, always learn something new and start to appreciate new things. Like photography, and these where beautiful pictures. If I had to pick one, the one that really got me was the bench all by itself in the middle of that path. Has something mysterious about it.

    • Thank you so much. I, like you, appreciate many things–so many it was difficult to focus this blog on just photography, quotes and poetry. That’s what I seem to enjoy most and sharing with others. Wish I had a professional camera as I only use a very inexpensive Canon digital at the moment. Someone just told me I am very poetic, so I promised to try to exercise writing it more–I love to read it most. Don Charisma is awesome. Again, thank you so much for your kind words. That bench is situated in Bill Baggs State Park, Key Biscayne–the lighthouse. If you continue walking, it takes you to a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. Mystery, to me, is invigorating! Hope to hear from you again soon.

What lovely photos. My favorites were Deception and Path of Mine. I have never given names to any photos I take. None are name worthy. 😦

    A photo one takes
    Is a one time view
    It can not be recreated
    It belongs to only you
