“I have a theory that if you can find out where a person is blocked, it should be possible to find a mythological counterpart for that particular threshold problem.”

~Joseph Campbell, “The Power of Myth

This is an upclose shot of my beautiful cacti. There are three. When I purchased them, only one had these vibrant magenta blooms. This year, all three bloomed spectacularly! Ooohs and Aaahs! They remind me of the reality of all sorts of relationships that at first glance appear so breathtakingly enchanting. It is not until later that we are pricked by what appeared to be what was not.

Did you know? “When cacti fail to flower, it usually means that they are living a life of excess.”–hmmm. Interesting.
